My name is Mary Guthrie and I am an eventer, trainer, instructor and barn owner based out of Larkspur, CO. Getting my start in the horse world at an Arabian breeding facility, I quickly came to love and admire the fiery spirit of the Arabian. This fondness of high energy and heart grew into the dream to become an eventer and experience the ultimate test between horse and rider.
My current eventing partner, Maverick, and I had a stellar first season out after a long and winding road. The journey that Maverick and I have taken together through the pursuit of eventing has been such a wild adventure. Going through trials and tribulations and experiencing such joy and freedom with another being is just so special. If you’re doing it right, you win every single time you step into a ring because you’ve overcome something with your partner to be there and you’re doing it together. There is no better feeling in the world in my opinion and it truly is the pursuit of happiness!
My intention in my life and my equestrian journey is to live as authentically as I can and share the real, raw, and vulnerable side of the adventure we not only take with horses but also in our personal lives. It is my hope that through shared experience, that we can all feel more courageous to show up as ourselves and own our journeys together ♥️
